Dermal needling therapy provides advanced skin micro-surgical needling, a procedure that stimulates the skin to regenerate and repair itself naturally and safely, creating smoother, brighter, healthier, younger-looking skin.
The principle behind dermal needling is stimulating cell renewal and new collagen, without damaging the epidermis. The treatment uses 13 very fine needles designed to achieve a ‘controlled injury’ to the skin without damage. The needles create micro-channels into the deeper skin layers resulting in an increased absorption of the active ingredients into the skin from products.
As the skin repairs itself, new collagen is deposited in the papillary dermis, plumping the skin from underneath, to smooth out wrinkles fine lines and indented scars. The skins strength, collagen and elastin are improved for a rejuvenated, smooth and youthful complexion.

We will use dermal needling to produce thousands of microscopic needle-columns in the skin. The column will close rapidly enabling the skin to recover quickly – often in the same day.
How it works

Skin needling is originally derived from ancient acupuncture techniques and was developed in the early 90’s by a team of plastic surgeons, medical engineers and dermatologists.
Skin needling is a non-invasive procedure that utilises small rolling discs containing microscopic needles between 0.25mm (home rolling length) to 1.5mm depending on the skin condition needing treatment. Tiny puncture channels are created within the epidermis to encourage an organic stimulated renewal and regenerating response. There are no injections, incisions, stitches or implants made or inserted.
Treatments will also assist in the increased appearance of a more refreshed, revived and awakened complexion.
After a thorough skin analysis, Nik will prescribe a personal course of needling treatments appropriate to the skin condition being treated. Ideally treatments are performed every 6-8 weeks to ensure maximum results. Each clinical appointment will last approximately 1 hour.

Does it hurt?
Treatments may feel slight discomfort but it is over quickly, just like IPL or a wax. Clients will generally be a bit pink and tender after the treatment and possibly through to the next day, after this time the skin will start to heal and look and feel normal.

Results are noticeable after one treatment. Clients report a firmer, even toned, more revitalised skin with a visible decrease in the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, pigmentation, sun damage, acne, enlarged pores, scaring, stretch marks.
How many treatments will I need?
With a free skin consultation ,we can create a treatment program to suit each client’s personal needs, with a full skin analysis and pre assessment your dermal therapist will provide you with insight into home care products, home care routine and in-salon treatment protocols. 3 treatments are usually recommended (unless deeper pigmentation or scarring is the issue) with an additional yearly top up to keep the skins cell rejuvenating to their healthiest ability. These initial treatments will be at 4-6 week intervals between each visit.
